Bahá'ís of Northern Delaware & Cecil County, Maryland Get in touch
Welcome

Hello from the Bahá'í community of Northern Delaware and Cecil County, MD.

If you're curious about the Bahá'í Faith, or you're a Bahá'í new to the area looking for friends, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Bahá'í Faith

The central theme of Bahá'u'lláh's message is that humanity is one single race, and that the day has come for its unification in one global society. Bahá'u'lláh taught that God has set in motion historical forces that are breaking down traditional barriers of race, class, creed, and nation, and that will, in time, give birth to a universal civilization.

Today, a worldwide community of more than five million Bahá'ís, drawn from nearly every nation, race, and culture on earth, works to give those teachings practical effect: a way of "walking the spiritual path with practical feet."

We're Bahá'ís living in Northern Delaware and Cecil County, Maryland. We're happy to answer questions, share a prayer, or simply meet a neighbor.

Prayers

Bahá'ís pray daily, drawing on revealed prayers for healing, gratitude, and the small and large moments of life. Here is one of the most often recited.

"Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee is my remedy. Nearness to Thee is my hope, and love for Thee is my companion. Thy mercy to me is my healing and my succor in both this world and the world to come. Thou, verily, art the All-Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise."
